downtown

Yesterday was one of the best Saturdays of the summer. A favorite mission companion of McKay got married in the Salt Lake temple and we spent the day downtown.

We headed to the Gateway before the wedding so we could get protective coating put on our phones. Next item of business was getting another pair of maternity jeans! Fortunately we were successful! I found some clearanced jeans that I actually really like - dark wash, skinny fit. nice. And they give me a bit of room to grow, which I'll need. Then we were off to the food court for some DQ blizzards and pizza.

We attended the sealing - which was wonderful - and then had a few hours to kill. We walked around downtown, back to the gateway, got strawberry fraps from Starbucks to cool us down, bought the happy couple a gift, browsed around Z Gallery (a fun, high-end home furnishing store), enjoyed the temple grounds, and then popped back up to temple square for the dinner.

Along the way McKay took video clips from his phone and tried out a new editing app he got to use on his phone. He made this little video completely from his phone - shooting, editing, uploading, etc. It was a fun day!
