Happy Fallidays

McKay and I have invented a new tradition: Fallidays!

Because we love the fall, and we love celebrating, and you can't really celebrate Halloween the whole month of October we created Fallidays. This celebration begins on October 1st and ends on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. At that point we'll put up the Christmas paraphernalia and switch over to Holiday mode!

The first tradition of Fallidays is square crepes - or Screpes if you prefer - for breakfast on Conference weekend.

We've also enjoyed pumpkin steamers, Postum malts, the Thomas Family Talent Show, a newly commissioned Fallidays song and pumpkin pancakes as part of our Fall celebration.

We're loving the tradition so far!

  1. We've celebrated the Fallidays for years..only we start with a big party on the first day of Fall. This year will be our Eighth Annual First Day of Fall Party, which kicks off the Fallidays, which end for us the Friday after Thanksgiving as well. It's a lot of fun!

  2. Oh, and after looking through your photos I just wanted to add that we're LDS, too, and moved to Nauvoo 2 years ago, the day after one of our Fall Party that year. We carried the tradition here and had about 60 people at our Fall Party last year. 34 days until the next one!
